Turning student data into meaningful insights
What Is SUCCEED?
SUCCEED - Standardising the Use, Communication and Capability of StudEntSurvEy.ie Data is a university-wide programme at Munster Technological University (MTU).
SUCCEED aims to make StudentSurvey.ie findings more accessible and meaningful across MTU, supporting colleagues to interpret student feedback, recognise areas of strength and areas for reflection.
The programme promotes the use of student feedback as a source of evidence to inform academic discussion, teaching and learning enhancement, and the ongoing improvement of the student experience.
Supporting the Use of Student Feedback
Through standardised reporting, interpretation guidance and opportunities for discussion, SUCCEED supports the use of StudentSurvey.ie findings to inform institutional decision-making, academic planning, student support and quality enhancement processes.
An important element of this work is supporting the student feedback loop by encouraging consideration of survey findings, exploration of appropriate responses and communication of how student feedback has informed enhancement.
What SUCCEED Supports
SUCCEED supports colleagues across MTU to:
|
Access and understand findings
through a consistent and accessible reporting framework. |
Recognise strengths
in teaching, learning, student support and the wider student experience. |
|
Identify areas for reflection
through careful interpretation and discussion of survey findings. |
Inform planning and enhancement
at institutional, faculty, departmental, programme and service levels. |
|
Connect findings with relevant supports
across teaching, learning, assessment, student engagement and student services. |
Close the feedback loop
by considering and communicating how student feedback informs decisions and enhancement activities. |
Who Is SUCCEED For?
SUCCEED provides reporting and interpretation resources to support the use of StudentSurvey.ie findings across MTU.
These resources are relevant to the MTU Executive, Heads of Faculty, Heads of Department, programme boards, academic teams and colleagues involved in quality assurance, teaching and learning, and student engagement.
They are also relevant to professional and student support services, including counselling, library services and other areas that contribute to the wider student experience.
By making survey findings more accessible and supporting their interpretation, SUCCEED enables colleagues across the University to consider student feedback in the context of their respective roles and responsibilities.
SUCCEED's Development

Updated reporting and interpretation resources
SUCCEED originated as a teaching and learning enhancement project funded through MTU's Strategic Alignment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement 2020 (SATLE 2020) allocation. It has since evolved into an ongoing university-wide programme supporting the reporting, interpretation and use of StudentSurvey.ie findings.
The introduction of the revised StudentSurvey.ie instrument in 2026 marked a further stage in the programme's development, with an updated reporting framework and interpretation resources.
