Once you have applied to study at MTU there are a few things you can do to prepare for college life and get off to the best possible start. Being a third level student is a big deal, this list has a few things to familiarise yourself with before you arrive in MTU:
- Finding your way to and around MTU
The MTU website provides information about transport options, directions and maps for the various Cork campues. - Good Start & The Good Start Ambassadors
The Good Start campaign, which will run over the first four weeks of Semester 1, will help you become familiar with your campus, settle in, meet new people, get prepared for learning at third level and find out who’s here to help you in MTU. Good Start is co-created with a team of current MTU students known as the Good Start Ambassadors, they were first years once too so they know exactly what it’s like to be in your shoes and are here to help you get settled into the MTU community. - Student Leaders
Student Leaders will help you settle into MTU on your first day, they will be the first students you meet on your Registration Day. They also help MTU run other events throughout the year. - Student Fees and Grant Info
For more info on student fees and grants you can view this link or contact The Student Fees and Grants Office. - Accommodation
The Accommodation Office can assist you in finding somewhere comfortable to live while you study at MTU. - International Students
