Building on the success of our established and popular class visits, the Academic Success Coaching team is delighted to launch the In-Lecture Coaching Programme (ILCP) for 2021-22. An embedded, in-lecture intervention comprising three 45-minute, whole-group coaching sessions, the ILCP brings coaching to your learners. Over the three sessions, learners will be facilitated to build their competences for a successful student experience. Session themes are as follows:
-
Off to a strong start (early semester 1);
-
Maintaining motivation and momentum (semester 1);
-
Reflection and planning (semester 2).
The ILCP represents an opportunity for learners to familiarise themselves with the coaching approach and ethos and will act as a learning scaffold for students who wish to enhance and deepen their learning by availing of one-to-one coaching.
The skills and competences to which learners will be introduced in the ILCP represent the building blocks of graduate attributes and, as such, we are delighted to partner with EDGE to offer students who participate the chance to submit a reflection on their learning as part of a bronze award application.
If you are interested in embedding the ILCP in your class, or in arranging a visit from a coach to your group, please contact the Academic Success Coaching team at AcademicSuccessCoach@mtu.ie.
